Alimentaria Mexico's Equipo Pavilion strengthens its equipment offer for the Food & Hospitality Channel
Alimentataria Mexico closed its seventh edition in the Benamex Centre in Mexico D. F. with excellent figures. Organised by Alimentaria Exhibitions and E. J. Krause, the show is the most important food and beverages exhibition in the Central American country. Around 450 companies, a hundred Spanish, originating from 29 countries, and more than 11,500 professionals congregated in a show exhibiting more than 5,000 products. As the star pavilion, the second edition of Alimentaria Equipos took place, publicising a full-range of offerings aimed at the food and beverage preservation, preparation and presentation industry.
Alimentaria Mexico 2007 brought together all the sub-sectors of the national and international food and beverage industry to the show: dairy products, fruit, vegetables, alcoholic beverages, confectionery, meat, cold meats, cakes, baked goods, seafood products, tinned and frozen foods, and professional food and hospitality equipment through the Alimentaria Equipo Pavilion. According to surveys, six out of every ten visitors to Alimentaria Mexico come from the food service channel and demand equipment for their establishments.
Revitalisation for the food and hospitality industry
The exhibition's attractions are found in: the Wholesale and Distribution Seminar, TENDENCIAS – Mexican Gastronomy Congress, the Innoval Pavilion, Nutritional Seminars, and the National Sommelier Competition. Furthermore, the visitor could move deeper into the immense world of wine through the Tasting Sessions presented, as well as Mexico and Its Drinks, a large exhibition, central to which were tequila, mezcal, sotol, bacanora, xtabentún, rompope, charanda and cider – many unknown due to their small production and seasonality.
For the first time, in its activity programme, Alimentaria Mexico created the Wholesale and Distribution Seminar, directed towards industry professionals interested in logistics, traceability, and the distribution of the food industry.
Tendencias - Mexican Gastronomy Congress brought together the country's main chefs and experts, those bringing about the change in the Mexican gastronomy. The meeting, directed towards professionals in the hotel and food and hospitality industries, wine experts, consultants, and chefs gave people the opportunity to exchange their ideas regarding current cuisine and its perspectives for the 21st century.
Throughout the course of the Nutrition Seminars, the COA (Centro de Orientación Alimentaria) presented conferences analysing aspects related to the current situation and food trends in Mexico.
