Cancun, Quintana Roo, 27 April 2006. —Alimentaria Exhibitions S. A. and E. J. Krause de México announced the new features of the 2006 Alimentaria México, the largest international exhibition in Mexico, bringing together the widest range of food and beverage products, taking place from 6 to 8 June, at the Banamex Centre in Mexico City. Alimentaria México 2006 will be introducing major innovations for professionals in the food sector, not just from Mexico, but from many different countries.
Alimentaria México is part of the most complete world business strategy in the food and beverage industry, together with Alimentaria Barcelona (the second largest worldwide) and Alimentaria Lisbon.
Alimentaria México 2006 is the Mexican showcase that brings together the offer of all the subsectors of the national and international food and drink industry: mainly dairy products, fruit and vegetables, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, sweets, meat and sausage products, pastry and bread, seafood, canned and frozen products.
“The combination in Alimentaria of a first-class national offer and an international offer with new products that are not yet present in Mexico makes this be the most interesting exposition for the professional visitor from the sectors of distribution, self-service, catering and restaurant businesses", assured José Navarro, Director of the Industrial Division of E.J. Krause of Mexico, the organising company together with Alimentaria Exhibitions.
This year nearly 450 exhibiting companies will be present that represent around 5,000 products. To date, the exhibition has 16 international pavilions representing Germany, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Korea, China, Spain, Holland, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Russia, United States and Vietnam; in addition to 8 national pavilions representing Chiapas, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Querétaro, Sonora and Tabasco.
"It is important for us to present it here in Cancun and the Mexican Southeast, because this exposition is national and because we consider that the united offer will be of interest to the professionals and decision-makers of restaurants and hotels. The gastronomy of the Southeast is important for national and international tourism, and the innovations, trends and products that will be presented in the exposition, without doubt will mark the difference in the kitchens and in business", he added.
Parallel Activities of Alimentaria México 2006 stand out:
Alimentaria Equipment Pavilion. This meets the wide demand by our visitors to exhibit equipment, accessories and services among the food service and restaurant professionals, a unique offer in the Mexican market that will promote business among companies of all sizes in the industry.
