Outstanding presence of Alimentaria Mexico in Barcelona.

Alimentaria appeared more internationally than ever in its Barcelona 2006 edition. Evidence of this was Alimentaria Mexico, the most important food and beverages exhibition of this Latin American country and key element in the international strategy of the organisation, that participated actively in Alimentaria Barcelona.

Between 6 and 10 March, Alimentaria Exhibitions reported on the advances of the next edition of the Mexican exhibition through a stand in the International Pavilion.

In this same context, Alimentaria Mexico celebrated a cocktail in the Village of the Mediterranean Diet to present the innovations of the exhibition that it will be conducting next 6 to 8 June in Mexico City, specifically in the Banamex Centre. The participants had the opportunity to taste typical dishes from the country accompanied by music from a group of mariachis and by a wide range of Jose Cuervo tequilas.

The key ingredient to business in America
Alimentaria Mexico evolves each year in order to enrich the offer aimed at the food service and distribution professional of the markets of the United States, Canada, Central America and South America. As a sample of the quality of the visitor of this exhibition, more than 80% of the professionals that attended the event act as prescribers for their companies, dedicating a total budget of more than 300 million dollars to the acquisition of food and drinks.

Alimentaria is the only event that affords the representatives of the Mexican industry the possibility of making contacts and strategic alliances with associations, distributors and producers of the entire world. The significant number of national and international exhibitors that will participate in the 2006 edition endorses its condition as business centre. Around 450 companies will permit the visitor to find national products as well as those coming from more than 25 countries of the five continents. An international event made in Mexico that promotes small producers of food as well as medium and large companies, with international enterprises, in an atmosphere favourable for business and in one of the countries most open to trade.

Alimentaria, model of trade fair organisation
Through trademarks such as Alimentaria, Alimentaria Exhibitions has consolidated an innovative, effective and dynamic model of trade fair organisation. The principal leaders of the exhibition that comprise the company are Alimentaria and Barcelona Tecnoalimentaria, in Barcelona; Alimentaria Lisboa in Portugal; Alimentaria Mexico in Mexico City co-organised with E.
