
The next edition of Alimentaria México, the country’s most important international food, beverage and equipment exhibition, will be held 2-4 June 2009 at Centro Banamex in the Mexican capital. This eighth edition will be a must-visit event for the over 12,000 professionals from Mexico and 25 foreign countries and more than 475 exhibitors who are expected to take part in the 2009 event. The Alimentaria México trade fair is characterised by its international and professional nature.
At the last edition of the exhibition, in 2008, 44.5% of exhibitors were foreign and the event was highly professional. 85% of the industry professionals who attended the trade fair are involved in their companies’ purchasing decisions, with a total budget of 575 million dollars for the purchase of food and beverages solutions.
Alimentaria México offers an exhibition which encompass the full range of food and beverage sectors: dairy products, sweets, cakes and pastries, bread and baked goods, fruits and vegetables, meat and meat products, fish and seafood, tinned and frozen foods, non-alcoholic beverages, spirits and wine. In addition, the Orgánicos area will make its third appearance, featuring organic farm produce. Alimentaria México will also offer the fourth edition of the Equipo Pavilion, dedicated to the food service channel, restaurateurs and hoteliers, distributors, professional buyers for the industry, chefs, etc. The pavilion focuses on providing food and beverage preparation, preservation and presentation solutions.
In addition to the exhibition space, Alimentaria México offers visitors an interesting array of associated activities to educate and delight the food and hospitality industries, rounding off a business event which is unique among its kind. Highlights include the Mexican Gastronomy Conference - Tendencias ALIMENTARIA, INNOVAL, Nutrition Seminars, wine tasting, an extensive selection of Mexican beverages.
